I realize I am months late, but I think it’s rather funny that "hippies" were scared of Coheed for their crazy metal, yet they spent all spring getting boooood off stage opening for Slipknot because they were not metal enough.
The thing about Coheed is that if you give it a chance, anyone who appreciates good music will be blown away. Sure, they are a tad bit heavier than moe. but both Claudio and Travis can run laps around some of the best "jamband" shredders in the game. Very interesting stuff, I look forward to these guys melting faces at Mt Jam & Bonnaroo!

I actually thought it was an interesting change in events. Steve Earle was horribly boring. Johnny Winter woke people back up and was outstanding. Then Coheed and Cambria brought it and really woke people up! You can’t say that their last song "Welcome Home" with Warren wasn’t absolutely amazing! I’d always wanted to see what Warren could do in that setting and it was remarkable, they blew the place up! I applaud him for bringing Coheed and Cambria as something new to the table! Since the concert, I’ve done some research on these guys and listened to their music and have to say that their theme and blend of music is very interesting and these guys have a ton of talent. Read up on them, you’ll be amazed at their creativity. By the way, Ben Harper was absolutely horrendous! I thought Dave Matthews was horrible a couple of years ago, but Ben Harper just plain sucked. I actually looked forward to seeing him. Michael Franti was killer though.

You knew we were "intollerant idiots," Jason? I thought I was expressing an opinion or review of a performance. If your reviews tend to perpetually blow sunshine, wouldn’t they soon tend to just blow?
Should I have the poor fortune to encounter another Jason Bugg music review I’ll be sure to consider the source. Your response is really helping me put those "reviews" in context. Thank you for explaining a lot.
Having a Rush influence does not make a performance any more tolerable than does an extraordinary amount of hair.

I think we may have been the strangers saying WTF. Those guys scared us to death. For a moment, we thought we were at the wrong show. Anyway, they almost ruined our buzz too. It is good to know we weren’t the only ones disappointed in that decision to add them to the line up.
Jeff apparently didn’t notice the Rush influence. I thought they were great, even though they weren’t my cup of tea. Kudos to Haynes for inviting a band that didn’t exactly fit in and proving all the "diversity" loving music fans out there to be the intolerant idiots I knew they were.

Blech! Poohey! That creepy death metal scarred my psyche. Harshed my mellow. As I fled the room, the others, some strangers joined me going "WTF?!?!!" We sought shelter and a happy place. It was the musical equivalent of being bludgeoned with baseball bats. Sounds like good music for army guys to machine gun civilians to. Disturbing at best. Pathetic on average.
If there was one redeeming factor to this band, I’d had to say the one caveman had some of the most enormous hair, I’ve ever personally witnessed.
Yep. The rediculous volume of a caveman’s hair, was the only positive thing about that band.
Save some money fella’s. It’s gonna be a short ride.

You have come a long way from that Hank Jr. concert we attended in Charlotte a few years ago!
