It’s my understanding that Google is looking for a partnership, ie an investment, from whatever city it chooses. I don’t think Asheville really brings much to the table if that’s the case. Philadelphia, on the other hand, has offered a real, detailed outline of how they will partner with Google and has laid out specific project proposals.
I hope Asheville wins out, but our appeals have kinda been limited to "We’re really really cool and we really really want this."
