This is Pierce Edens, rocking out with his band The Dirty Work, at the Emerald Lounge on Friday afternoon. The Warren Haynes Christmas Jam is this weekend, as all of Asheville knows, and it’s here in an expanded form. The jam this year covers two nights instead of one at the Civic Center(Friday and Saturday), as well as the Thursday night pre-Jam at the Orange Peel. Then there’s a whole line-up music during the day on Friday and Saturday at Stella Blue, the Lounge, and Jack of the Wood.
I checked in at all three places today, and attendance was good. I’m sure all three will be packed out on Saturday. Don’t forget that there’s a comedy festival, and a series of film screenings, to go along with all of this.
