It’s July, summer time, parties, outdoor activities and of course food, all fit into this month of fun, and July is National Hot Dog Month to boot.
Celebrity’s Hot Dogs on Brevard Road Asheville will add to July fun with a week long seventh year anniversary celebration beginning Monday July 23rd- through Friday July 27th. Monday and Tuesday of that week any hot dog at Celebrity’s will be ONLY $.99 , ANY hot dog any toppings. Wednesday through Friday that same week ANY hot dogs ‘any way ‘ will be priced at JUST $1.25, this all to say thank you to our customers in the WNC area and those from near and far for helping make Celebrity’s one special place. Also, as part of the celebration, customers will be able to get a small ice cream cone for $1.00 after 5pm each day.
What started as somewhat of a joke for Celebrity’s founder Robert Pressley, an Asheville (Bent Creek) native and former NASCAR driver has turned into a favorite dining spot for locals, tourists and I -26 travelers in these past seven years. When asked what he might do once he stopped driving race cars on the NASCAR circuit Pressley often would say ”I’m going to open me up a hot dog stand” and so the joking idea became a reality and has since served up over 500,000 hot dogs.
