Buncombe County District Court Judge Shirley Brown was involved in a traffic incident last week, an incident that had some tongues wagging around the county courthouse.
I’m in the process of tracking down an incident report, but I went ahead and called Brown to ask her about what I had heard. Brown, who is up for re-election in this year’s election, tells me that on Wednesday she received a citation from the State Highway Patrol for failure to yield. Brown says she was pulling onto Cane Creek Road, a move that apparently triggered a wreck. Brown told me her vehicle was not struck.
