I’m gleaning the news from owner Rosetta Star’s posts on Facebook. There’s a photo of Rosetta holding the burger-in-a-box, and there’s this:
Meeting with Ingles went great! Were gonna start with three stores (merrimon, tunnel road, and skyland)!!!!
Still a few weeks out, before they are for real on the shelves…..but……whooohooo!
More on Rosetta’s:
We are downtown Asheville’s whole-foods kitchen & cafe. We serve lunch, dinner, late night, and Sunday brunches as well as our whole menu. We have been open since 2002 and have been serving our extended family, friends, and wanderer throughers, creative vegatarian and vegan soul foods out of our colorful space at a brisk pace all these years.
We have hosted hundreds of benefits, art shows, and musicians, we have fed the homeless, the wealthy, a good handful of celebrities, and everyone in between.
We have nourished everyone who has passed through our doors in the best ways we know how… We are owned by the Wezeltown tribe, managed by a handful of dedicated employees who are currently working on a plan to become a collectively operated business. The hard working staff, that almost seems to live at the Kitchen, are a dedicated bunch that only put up with the cramped space and constant chaos because of a love for food and/or the philosophy of the establishment.

On my last comment, I meant to say quarter instead of quart.
I just found this veggie burger at Earth Fare. I tried it last night. The best part about it is how it’s heafty – a quart pound burger. However, it was a little bland for my taste. They should spice it up a bit more.
I wish them success launch, but not my favorite veggie burger I’ve ever had I must say. The one time I ate there, and ordered the burger, as I had heard it was the “best veggie burger in Asheville, if not the universe,” I found the mouth-feel seemed odd, a fairly bland sandwich with ingredients that were very dry and, frankly, uninspired. Maybe it was just an off-day as I haven’t been back since. Since competition for “best veggie burger” has heated up, even in the grocery shelves, it will be interesting to see how well theirs does over time.
The last time I ate at Rosetta’s I got sick. Same thing happened to 3 other friends on separate occasions. Something is not kosher at Rosetta’s. Been eating more at Plant and Laughing Seed.
