NBA point guard Kent Bazemore and several of his basketball star friends, including Steph Curry and Andre Iguodala, are in Asheville this weekend for Bazemore and his bride Samantha Serpe’s destination wedding at Biltmore Estate.
Bazemore, who comes out of the program at Old Dominion University, plays for the Atlanta Hawks. Serpe is a graduate of Villanova, where she played lacrosse and field hockey.
While Bazemore excels as a baller, Serpe is co-founder of a healthy living site called Sage and Celery.
Photos posted on social media showed Bazemore and Serpe at a dinner set up at Lioncrest on the Biltmore Estate. Other photos showed Curry and Iguodala, of the NBA championship team Golden State Warriors, on a golf course in Asheville.
A Gatsby-themed party on Friday night preceded the Saturday night wedding, which was complete with NBA stars teasing one another about championships, as well as a big fireworks show. Richard Jefferson of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team that won the NBA championship last year against Golden State last year and lost to them this year, was also in attendance.
