We’d never been to the Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte before hitting the place Sunday night to see the Avett Brothers. We have to say that we liked the venue a lot.
For a $25 ticket, we got two opening acts (one band whose name we’ve forgotten already, and the Everybodyfields), and the Avetts. We got an old theater decked out with brightly colored balloons and boxes of free party favors. After midnight, the staff served up plastic cups of PBR in honor of the New Year – forget that champagne shit, it’s Pabst Blue Ribbon baby.
There were a few rowdies, as you might expect, but the staff and management of the place took care of what few problems we saw. Everything operated smoothly and orderly. We had a great time, and we chalk it up to the Neighborhood Theater folks.
