Ashvegas was once again voted best local blog by those of you who voted in the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC 2009 reader’s poll. It’s all thanks to you, loyal readers. I can’t, and wouldn’t, do it without you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Jason, you definitely have the best local blog in Asheville. I get a lot more news and information from it thank from our terribly weak local newspaper and tv station.
I would love to see more hard news and investigative stuff but know that is hard to do in a blog and without a reporting staff. I could do with less coverage of rock bands, beer bashes, bikini models and the like. But all in all, you have a great blog so keep up the good work here.
Way to go Ash! What’s not to love?
Ash- congratulations. Your blog is an integral part of my connection to real world Asheville. Well-deserved win. You rock.
Awe, come on, you know you’re the best, Ash!!!!
Congrats! Well earned.
Could you go back to the new restaurant Chai Pani? I checked them our for lunch earlier this week, and it was so good I brought the whole family for dinner thte next day. Each dish had distincively different flavors. Flavorful but not overpowering. Nice people, low prices, and the food came quickly too.
After the dumping on them that took place here when they opened, could you start a string re-visiting Chai Pani? They deserve a chance to succeed.
Way to go Ash. We’re so loyal we never point out or even notice how you forgot the E between the H and V in your own name.
Again, way to go!
P.S. Was that really your mom? Does that make you like Letterman?
Uber kudos for something well deserved.
Thanks Mom!
Newsjunkie, thanks so much!
Are you kiddin’ me? I couldn’t go a day (a half day!) without checking in on what’s happening via Ashvegas. It’s the Jon Stewart to the mainstream media — and I say this in all seriousness. In other words, I trust it to tell me the real news.
Way to go kiddo!!!!
