More of what’s going on:

-Construction fencing went up Tuesday around a lot along Patton Avenue across the street from the WNC Rescue Mission homeless shelter that will be home to a new apartment complex. The Campaign for Southern Equality has organized a Trans-Friendly Job Fair and Resource Bank that will be held July 21 at the UU Church (1 Edwin Place, Asheville), according to a press release. The event is designed to connect the transgender community in WNC with support related to job-readiness and to local trans-friendly employers and resources. These free events are co-sponsored by TranzMission, Malaprops, and the Asheville UU – community members are invited to attend.
