Press release:

UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center (NEMAC) has a new Drupal-based website, at http://nemac.unca.edu, launched on October 6. The dramatically redesigned site, created by the center’s in-house digital team, embodies the center’s forward-thinking vision and aligns with UNC Asheville’s newly designed website, launched earlier this year. “Visitors to our new site will quickly learn who we are, and about the work we are doing locally, regionally, and statewide,” said Bridget O’Hara, NEMAC’s science delivery specialist.

The new NEMAC site offers more intuitive navigation, full staff and student profiles, new colors and graphics and a clean uncluttered design. The homepage includes a “Featured” section highlighting NEMAC’s Web applications and projects, as well as news and events listings.

The redesign process involved extensive input from the entire 10-person NEMAC team, with complete rewrites and graphic updates for all of the center’s focus areas and projects. “This new NEMAC website really captures our essence in a user-friendly, accessible way,” said Susan Weatherford, project manager for NEMAC.  “We are very excited about having a more professional public face to match the caliber of our work and collaborations.”
