Asheville Makerspace, a place to hack, produce, design, getting organized

Share

Here’s the note from loyal reader Tracie. I’m late on getting word out in advance of this meeting, but looking forward to watching this develop:

Hi Jason

My friend, Hugh Munro, is getting ready to form the “Asheville Makerspace”. Essentially, it will be a place where makers of all kinds can come, share and collaborate in lots of different creative disciplines.

There is a meeting on Jan 31 to introduce people to the concept and discuss how it can most successfully be envisioned. I think it’ll be pretty cool!

And more contact info:

The Asheville Makerspace will be having a meeting on Tuesday, January 31st, 6 pm at 16 Piney Park Road in West Asheville. We will be discussing the formation of a formal organization and all the cool projects that we could do.

i went to the meeting and I was very impressed with what they are trying to get started. It’s an amazing concept, finally, in a perfect location(ASHEVILLE!) There was quite an audience FULL of creative people ready to get to work(*play); some of which are now my friends and inspiration to create in ways I’ve never considered. I can’t wait to hear back from them and see where this will go!
