Asheville Citizen-Times: Entrepreneur finds niche with coasters made from reclaimed wood

From my story in Sunday’s Asheville Citizen-Times. Congratulations to Tim Jennings, who is making custom coasters at Blue Ridge Coasters.

Now Jennings is working with his brother, Robin Jennings, who has been making wooden baseball bats for about the past five years in Park City, Utah. The two saw an opportunity to not only expand that business but start a new venture — the production of personalized coasters made from found or reclaimed wood. The Citizen-Times recently caught up with Jennings to learn more about his woodworking talent and the brothers’ new company, Blue Ridge Coasters.
