The Asheville-based experiential branding and design company GIGANTIC! is joining forces with Image 360, a company that designs and installs signs, banners and graphics, and its sister company, Allegra.

Scott David Smith, GIGANTIC!’s founder, and his family moved to Asheville in 2010 from the San Francisco Bay area. At that time, Smith and his company, Renovate With Color, worked with local businesses to improve their branding and signage. Businesses such as Beanwerks Coffee, Doctor Dave’s Automotive, Willow’s Dream and Envision Eyecare were some of the first businesses that Smith put his mark on with his distinctive blend of mural art, design and unique sign creation.

Smith continued to evolve his business by taking a holistic approach to branding for brick and mortar businesses. He’s also worked with Acropolis Pizza, Hazel Twenty, Scout Boutique, Scorch Fitness, Joy Ryder, Underground Fitness and others. He renamed the company GIGANTIC! in 2017.

Now, GIGANTIC! will team up with Dave Campbell, owner of the local Allegra franchise and its sister company, Image360.

Campbell has been an active member in the Asheville business community for more than 20 years by offering print, mailing and sign solutions. to local businesses. He sees the acquisition of GIGANTIC! as an opportunity to round out his organization as a unique “one stop” offering for businesses looking to increase their exposure in the marketplace, according to a press release.

The new, expanded shop will be located at 2 Westgate Parkway (previously Autostar in Westgate plaza). The 10,000 square foot shop will include design, printing and fabrication of all types of signage,  from standard to custom work. There will also be an auto-wrap area, as well as a print and mail division, all under the same roof.

Smith will continue to play a creative role and will focus on sales and marketing for the new, expanded operation. John Hornsby, who has been working with Smith at GIGANTIC! for the past year in a creative and operational role, will join the new organization. He will continue in the new organization as sign shop manager and creative consultant.
