Put this date on your calendar: Nov. 15. That’s when Highland Brewing Co. will hold a release party for this year’s Cold Mountain Winter Ale. The first bottles will be filled at the end of this month, but you won’t be able to get any until mid November. Always one of the most anticipated beers of the year.

No Christmas Jam beer this year. Asheville Brewing doesn’t have the capacity to make it. They also dropped the Moogfest brew as well. Too bad, they were both great beers.
Finally …
Leah Wong is now the vice president of Highland Brewing. She continues to rise up the ranks at Asheville’s first and biggest craft brewery. Her dad, Highland founder Oscar Wong, will still be around as brewery leader. Congrats to Leah on this big promotion.
