Asheville Amadeus Festival starts Friday, features astonishing wealth of music

The Asheville Amadeus Festival returns to town March 10-19 with an incredible line-up of music that will be showcased around town in a variety of venues.

The Asheville Symphony has partnered with dozens of community groups for events that run the gamut from casual and formal concerts to lectures, comedy, wine flights and a signature beer brewed by High Brewing Company.

Internationally renowned Grammy Award-winning violinist Midori is the festival’s headlining soloist and artist-in-residence. Another favorite performer is Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, a kid-hop artist who formerly lived in Asheville and recently won a Grammy award for his record Infinity Plus One. Here’s a quick run-down:
