Dear 12 Bones,
Please open on Saturdays. Pretty please? We adore your barbecue, but we just don’t have time during the business day to stand in the ridiculous line that seems to form earlier and earlier. We went the other day about 11:45 a.m., and the line was already wrapped around the side of your building.
It wouldn’t kill you guys to open up one more day now, would it? C’mon. Don’t make us beg.
We know that by writing this post, we’re just encouraging more people to come out and start standing in line for barbecue at 10 a.m. But hell, the secret’s already out.
Please, please, give us more ‘cue, or we’re gonna have to start checking out your competition. You’ve heard of a little something called the Fiddlin’ Pig, right? They have barbecue and live music. So throw us a frickin’ bone, peeple.

i don’t ski with bigotry and i don’t eat at places without at least a 90 health dept. rating. and that’s pushing it!
None on Monday night, when I was there. Wednesday-Sunday, house band at first, but they’re trying to book a variety of local acts. Clogging on Sunday afternoons.
i love me some 12 bones too, but what about their sanitation grade? last i checked it was ridiculously low, an 85 or close to it if i recall. has anyone noticed if it has changed?
thanks for the review, K. how about the music?
Fiddlin’ Pig: Great meat, mixed review on the sides. Fries were old and chewy like they’d been sitting under a lamp all night. Fried okra was awesome. Macaroni was gluey, and collards were excellent. Hush puppies were awesome, but they left them off of our platters. When we pointed out that we were supposed to get them, the waitress acted like she was doing us a favor to bring them. Weird. Anyway, great ‘cue. But not 12 Bones.
