Ahh, the Westville

A few more people have trickled in to the Westville here on Haywood Road. We’re live blogging as we eat lunch and drink a beer.

So what’s going on? Well, we noticed that Burgermeister down the road had all their furniture and rugs and stuff piled up outside. Are they doing a renovation? Just some fall cleaning? We don’t know. All we know is we love some fried pickles and burgers at Burgermeisters.

Also just down the street is a business we noticed called Wii Play. We assume this is a place where we can go to play the fabulous Wii, but we need to check it out to be sure. We’ve actually seen a couple of places around town where you can go to play video games. There’s a new gameroom down Leicester Highway where you can play video games and pool and stuff. Pretty cool.

Finally, for those of you who have lamented the loss of the Hot Shot, the classic diner down in Biltmore that recently closed after some 80 years in business – we’re here to tell you that there’s a damn fine diner on Haywood Road called the Tastee Diner. Many of you know this already. Those of you who don’t need to get over your high-falutin’ ways and come on down. We’ll blog more about the Tastee Diner a little later.
