Check out the world premiere video of the Maggie Valley Band’s new music video, Don’t Go. The video was shot at the now-closed Ghost Town in the Sky amusement park in Maggie Valley.

Hailing from Haywood County, N.C., the Maggie Valley Band came together in the town they now identify themselves with. Influenced by a diverse collection of musicians, ranging from The Stanley Brothers to Simon and Garfunkel to the Band to Rising Appalachia, nothing has had as profound an impact on their sound as the mountains of Maggie Valley where they have perfected their trade.

Featuring sisters Whitney (guitar) and Caroline Miller (bass) along with Colby Guyer (drums) and Cam Williams (mandolin, banjo) their music draws from a wide variety of artists, movements, and cultures. With intricate harmonies, well-crafted songs, and exceptional musicianship, this is a band you need to check out.

Caleb Calhoun studied writing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and music at a plethora of clubs and bars across the southeast. He is the host of Soundcheck Radio (Thursday’s 3-5 on 103.7 WPVM) and Soundcheck AVL and the publisher of Rosman City Blues. He currently lives in West Asheville with his woodland mermaid, Dr. Gonzo.

Thank you so much, I grew up listening to that beautiful sound of blue grass, and being able to hear the sweet sounds again in a place I dearly cherish Maggie Valley and to see our Ghost Town in the Sky again was priceless. Truly a bless fan now. Thanks again June Rector
