Press release here:

The Western North Carolina Alliance needs volunteers to help work on a campsite along the world-class French Broad River Paddle Trail, scheduled to open in July.
The workday is scheduled from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. May 24 in a bottomland forest in Etowah – a great riverside location.
We would love to have your help in improving river access, clearing brush, and readying the campsite for paddlers this summer. We’ll provide tools and equipment, as well as snacks and cold drinks.
If you’d like to join us, please send an RSVP email to [email protected]. Learn more about the French Broad River Paddle Trail project here.
