WLOS: Details about Obama’s speech in Asheville today

linamar-bigHours after finishing last night’s State of the Union address, the president flies to Asheville for a brief visit, making a speech in Arden at Linamar, a industrial manufacturing plant. According to WLOS, the president will arrive at the Asheville airport around 11 a.m. and speak at Linamar around noon.

Linamar officials say workers from all shifts have been asked to be at the plant by 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. They are able to bring one guest will them. Employees say they’re excited to show President Obama they are able to live the American dream. The Canadian based company is a global is a manufacturer of parts for engines, transmissions and drive trains. In the next ten years, they plan on creating 650 positions. Wednesday’s visit is not open to the public. Only a select group is invited to attend. News 13 will be airing his speech live. It will also be streaming live at www.wlos.com and on your mobile device.
