Leave a comment on this blog post and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to the opening night of the hilariously irreverent 45th Annual Bernstein Family Christmas Spectacular. (You can buy tickets to the Bernstein Family Christmas Spectacular here.) It’s my favorite show of the year, and tickets sell out fast, so you better get on it.

The show is a holiday sketch comedy that features all new material every year. The R-rated send-up of holiday traditions is staged at Magnetic 375 on Depot Street, which is the home of The Magnetic Theatre.

There’s a new director on board for the first time since 2012. Jeff Catanese, familiar to Asheville audiences from work with Attic Salt Theatre Company as well as Asheville Community Theatre, is directing the Bernstein crew this season. The cast includes several well-known actors,  including Tracey Johnston-Crum and Darren Marshall.

The show was written by Lucia Del Vecchio, Genevieve Packer, Peter Lundblad and Jim Julien, and produced by Chall Gray.

The 45th Annual Bernstein Family Christmas Spectacular will be performed at Magnetic 375, located at 375 Depot St, in the River Arts District of Asheville, December 1-3, 8-10, 15-17 and 21-23, showtimes 7:30 p.m. nightly, and 10:00 p.m. late shows December 10 and 17. Tickets here.
