teatro_del_gusto_asheville_2015The Orange Peel is bringing back Teatro del Gusto for a show on July 5 after a successful show last year. Leave a comment on this post and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to the July 5 show. Here are the details:

WHAT: On July 5th, Teatro debuts a brand new season of Circus Cabaret, local food and live music showcase series. These events are a collaboration between the always zesty Orange Peel, and Madame Onça, producer of Asheville’s annual ABSfest: Americana Burlesque & Sideshow Festival, and purveyor of fine international cabaret talent. Buy tickets to Teatro del Gusto here.

MORE: Circus Cabaret – Enjoy a delicious evening of comedy, acrobatics, juggling, live music and a splash of burlesque at Asheville’s premier venue. Paolo Garbanzo, our Old World Impresario, and Mark Slomski, that Rascally Vaudevillian, are trying out new recipes for perfect entertainment for the 2015 season, including a generous helping of high energy showgirls and a chaser of burlesque. Their quest for the perfect blend of Old World Cirque and American Roadhouse fun will be seasoned with aerial arts, live music, juggling and comedy to delight the senses.

Live Music – Each Teatro show opens and closes with an appetizing local band. First up, Red Honey will provide our musical entertainment on 7/5 and 8/23, we’ll be joined by the Resolent Rogues.

Local Food – In addition, ticket holders enjoy 15% of your Total Bill at nearby participating food venues on Teatro nights! Our restaurant partners this year honoring the discount on 7/5 and 8/23 are King James Public House, Zambra and Storm. Guests are encouraged to make an Asheville evening out of the event; complimentary desserts and chocolates from French Broad Chocolate Lounge will be served, complimentary, during Intermission.

The Vision:

“Last year’s Teatro shows with the Orange Peel got our feet wet and let us know folks want more of everything – so this time we are bringing in a brilliant, edgy, performance arts aerialist from Atlanta, and a dance group from Virginia,” says Madame Onca, “and expanding on the theme of food. Asheville, known for both its vibrant performance and food culture, is the perfect place to bring these elements together!”

WHERE & Tickets: The Orange Peel, 101 Biltmore Ave., Asheville NC 28801, $20; ages 18+

I have been working nights for 4 years and have missed almost every show I have wanted to see. I just got transferred off of nights and I would love to celebrate with this amazing burlesque show!
