Celebrate the season at a special tasting event that’s just a wee bit different. Presented by Highland Brewing and Adapt Public Relations, Fest of Ale will be held Monday, December 29 during Winter Lights at The North Carolina Arboretum. Capping off Highland’s 20th anniversary year, the event will include a tasting of their most celebrated beers, as well as a special selection of their smaller batch brews. Tickets, which include the tasting event and admission to Winter Lights, are $20 per person and available for purchase online.

Fest of Ale will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Education Center Auditorium at the Arboretum. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older (IDs will be checked at the door). To purchase tickets, or for more information, go here.

This was a total disappointment. There were only two beers and one ran out one hour in.

I mean if it was marketed as only having a few beers then sure I wouldn’t have been disappointed.

However it specifically said, “Capping off Highland’s 20th anniversary year, the event will include a tasting of their most celebrated beers, as well as a special selection of their smaller batch brews. ”

That was far from the truth.

Definitely come to expect better from you Highland.

    Total disappointment!

They only had Thunderstruck Porter and Weizenbock. They ran out of the Weizenbock 1 hour in. Waste of time and money

20 years ago, when I heard there was a pizza place and a brewery opening up in a derelict building on Biltmore Ave, I thought it was the craziest idea I could think of. Thanks Highland for pushing Asheville in a wee different direction!
