Fonta Flora won GABF gold for its Irish Table brew.

Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville and Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain each won gold medals for their beers on Saturday at the Great American Beer Festival in Colorado. The medals are a big honor in the craft beer world.

Wicked Weed, which also won a gold medal last year, was awarded gold for Mampara in the specialty honey beer category. Pisgah won gold for its Chocolatized in the chocolate beer category.

Fonta Flora won gold for its Irish Table beer in the classic Irish-style dry stout category. Colorado-based Oskar Blues, which has its East Coast brewery in Brevard, won a silver medal for its Death by Coconut beer in the chocolate beer category. California-based Sierra Nevada, which is opening its East Coast brewery in Mills River, won in bronze in the imperial stout category for its Narwhal Imperial Stout.

    Not to be a hater but I still get sad every time I see a Pisgah organic sticker knowing that they deceived us and were never organic.
