A quick 11 a.m. call on Sunday to Organizing for America confirms there are tickets left, according to the Asheville office.

Sunday ticket pickup was noon-8 p.m. Sunday at Highsmith University Union at UNC-A and the Organizing for America offices in Asheville and Hendersonville. Check ticket availability at 290-0681. Tickets are first come, first served, and it looks like they are distributed at up to two per person.

Doors are at 1:30 for the Tuesday Biden appearance, and the event begins at 3:30.

Details below from UNC-A. Note that the parking lot closings are for students:

According to campaign officials, this is a free event, but tickets are required. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, one ticket per person. Tickets can be picked up at the following locations: from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, at Highsmith University Union; at Organizing for America offices at 230 Hilliard Ave., Asheville; or 1507 E. Haywood Rd., Hendersonville.

Doors to the Justice Center will open for this event at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

For security reasons, access to the Justice Center and areas nearby will be affected prior to the event.

On Tuesday, Oct. 2, the following parking lots will be closed to facilitate parking for the campaign event: The Sherrill Deck, Zageir Deck, Lot 9, Lot D (at Reuter Center), Lot 16 beside the Justice Center and portions of Lot 12.

Because these closures will affect non-resident student parking, as well as faculty and staff parking, a satellite parking lot with shuttle service will be offered at the Silverline Plastics Parking Lot, 900 Riverside Drive, Asheville NC. Shuttle service between Silverline Plastics and the main campus for students, faculty or staff will begin operating from Silverline Plastics at 7:40 a.m., on Oct. 2 and will continue operating until 5:30 p.m. The shuttles will run continuously during this time period. Driving directions from campus to the satellite lot are available here

Or you can use the following directions:
From Campus Dr. travel 1.1 miles north on Broadway/Riverside Dr. Continue north through the intersection of Riverside Dr. and Barnsville Hill Rd. Once you pass Rogers and Son Crane Service on the right, the entrance to the parking lot will be the next driveway on the left. There will be 2 electronic sign boards on Riverside Dr. to assist with directions. Public Safety personnel will be posted at the entrance to direct vehicles into the lot.

Further updates will be circulated as information becomes available.
