Here’s the press release:

June is celebration month – weddings, graduations, and the beginning of summer vacations. At Tupelo Honey Cafe, we are celebrating some mountain sunshine sitting on our new patio downtown. Local Asheville artist Simone Wilson uses fun cut-out designs to create her inventive metal screens, the latest of which encloses one side of our downtown seating area outside. Our customers love the privacy the screen affords but they (and we) appreciate the artistry even more.

We believe in providing a space for folks to get together that is fun, welcoming and full of creative energy. And we know how important it is to do everything we can to ensure you feel comfortable, happy and gastronomically satisfied. We take our role as a venue for memory making very seriously, and we strive to deliver a unique dining experience that embraces everyone around your table.

So as summer is suddenly upon us, slow down a little. Sleep late and come in for breakfast. Take a day of vacation just to re-discover the joy of family and friends. Or eat a late lunch or early dinner before heading out to enjoy our wonderfully longer Blue Ridge Mountain summer days.

Need a little encouragement? If you come into our south Asheville location between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., you will be entered to win a year of dining for free at Tupelo. We’ll award winners in June, July and August. So enjoy a little summer leisure and come sit a spell with us.
