ThirstyMonkBreweryPub1Here’s the news from loyal reader and Monk owner Barry:

Yep, Three Times the Monks in Asheville!

While, YES, we are moving our brewery into Biltmore Park and opening up our Thirsty Monk Brewpub there this Spring, we have reconsidered our Gerber Village options and have decided to NOT shutter that location. Instead, we say, hey, let’s expand it!

So… Thirsty Monk Gerber Pub will soon have its own kitchen and own food menu back and a select liquor menu in addition to our draft selections.

For a little Monk Biltmore Park Brewery Update, we *JUST* purchased several 7 Barrel Fermenters to allow for even more Thirsty Monk Beer once brewing commences.

Yes! I know the Biltmore Park locale will probably suit tourists a bit more, so it’s nice having our little watering hole tucked back in Gerber Village. Thanks, Barry.

This is great news! The current location is one of the best kept secrets on the southside– great beer from Norm and really a wonderful staff.
