the_fresh_market_2014The Fresh Market is planning to host a job fair on Jan. 22 at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville to fill jobs at its new south Asheville location.

Store manager Michelle Patterson said Tuesday that the company plans to hire 80 to 86 employees to fill a mix of part-time and full-time positions. The company is not hiring department heads, but is looking for all kinds of specialists in just about every other job category, she said.

Employees should apply online at The Fresh Market in advance, Patterson said, but people will also be able to apply online at the job fair, which will run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Fresh Market plans to open its new store, which is in a former Harris Teeter location on Hendersonville Road, on March 5.
