THE BIG DAY indie wedding & celebrations fair

Make the planning as special as the day!

Asheville is a wedding destination for couples near and far. On Saturday, March 30, from 1:00 to 6:00, The Big Day will bring together the best that the area has to offer to those couples, as well as their friends and families and organizers of all kinds of other big days. Join us at the Asheville Art Museum for a fun and inspiring day of dreaming and planning your handmade, heartfelt celebration.

Giveaways!
Each ticket is an entry to win dozens of great prizes from handmade jewelry to cakes to photo sessions to stays at area inns. We’re adding to the prize list weekly!

Fashion Shows!
Amongst the crowd, you’ll see models wearing stunning handmade gowns and accessories. Black Mountain Cakes was so inspired by Brooke Priddy’s gowns for Ship to Shore they created cakes inspired by them. You’ll see the paired works of art, the dresses and the cakes they inspired, side-by-side!

Performances!
Wedding bands and DJs will be performing for the crowd throughout the day.

Demos and awesome indie vendors!
A select group of 70 independent vendors (from stylists to venues and bakers to dress-makers) will be on hand to sell their wares, as well as offer tastings, demos and advice to the betrothed or simply curious! New vendors added weekly!

Gift Bags!
Attention early (love) birds: we’ll have gift bags full of goodies for the first 100 couples!
