Here’s the note from Mark over at Harvest Records. Two very cool shows:

Thurston Moore, underground music legend, co-founder of the highly influential NYC rock band SONIC YOUTH, has a new band called Chelsea Light Moving.

They have their debut record coming out on Matador Records next Tuesday, March 5th — the same day we’ve booked them at the Grey Eagle!
Not only that, but we’ve got a FREE in-store performance scheduled with them at 4pm that day as well!

Really excited to have Thurston come hang and be seen in two extremely intimate venues in Asheville. In addition, his fellow guitar player in Chelsea Light Moving is Keith Wood, who used to live in Asheville, worked at Static Age Records, and has put out music under his own solo moniker Hush Arbors — including the first vinyl we ever pressed on our label Harvest Recordings. Point is = SMALL WORLD

More from Unoffically Asheville about the show:

Leave work early and check the Chelsea Light Moving in-store at Harvest next Tuesday afternoon. Even your boss probably knows about Sonic Youth.

NPR has a first listen of their new album.
