Attention nerds. IT position for Sierra Nevada in Mills River. No salary range given.

Overview: This position will work closely with other IT, production and administrative staff to design, build and maintain databases, user interfaces and reports. Support users of and troubleshoot such third party systems as Savant WMS, MS Great Plains, yard management, Aloha pub management, among others. Design, build and maintain MS SQL Server based data acquisition systems connected to production process control systems. Design, build and maintain database tables, input screens and reports for QC/QA purposes. Build and maintain process reporting tools for key performance indicators; understand and apply the principles of statistical process control to assist production personnel in generating actionable data from various databases.

Skills: Very strong RDBMS skills – data modeling, DDL, DML are required. Strong scripting experience (j/python preferred); strong written and verbal communication skills; self-starter, and able to work well in teams. The preferred candidate will have a manufacturing production background and an understanding of the brewing process is a huge plus. Must have strong math and statistics skills.

Education: BS in a technical field, with a minimum of five years relevant computer experience.

This position will require the selected candidate to work in our Chico, CA facility for 8 – 12 months of training under the guidance of the Chico team, after which the position will relocate to our Mills River, North Carolina Brewery. As a key position in North Carolina, housing assistance will be provided during the training period in Chico, CA.
