GulfStream Communications is pleased to announce the purchase of the Boone-based High Country Wedding Guide (“HCWG”) and its affiliated Web site from High Country Wedding Guide LLC, owned by Rachel Mills and Annette Beeler. HCWG has covered the wedding and bridal scene of the High Country of North Carolina for the past seven years. Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Beeler will continue to operate HCWG on behalf of GulfStream for the December 2015 issue.
Jed Drew, President of GulfStream, said “We welcome HCWG into the GulfStream family. We believe it is a great strategic fit for GulfStream, as its fits within both our Western North Carolina geographic focus through WNC magazine and our weddings/bridal expertise. We continue to look for opportunities to grow our brands and our presence across the Carolinas, leveraging our print, online, and event capabilities, and HCWG will become part of that growth.”
Rachel Mills, Founder of HCWG, said, “After seven successful years, Annette and I decided we needed additional support to take the guide to the next level. In particular there should be an improved digital element to HCWG.”
The first issue under new ownership is due out later this year.
