Have you seen the new Twisted Laurel restaurant (Greek and Italian fare) coming together on the corner of College and Spruce in downtown Asheville? It’s looking fantastic. Trey of Elm Construction gave me a sneak peek at how it’s looking inside. Beautiful wood treatments, exposed ceiling, a bar with more than two dozen craft beers on tap and giant windows looking onto Pack Square Park. The restaurant, which is hiring now, is set to open by Labor Day Weekend. Check ashvegas.com for a full photo gallery.

The Twisted Laurel is hiring, btw. Enjoy the photos.

Ah, the cursed downtown location. No one has yet to thrive there.
It will be interesting to see what happens.

I wonder why that is? It has a great central location, courtyard space, proximity to a rather bustling daytime corridor. Is it parking? Homeless people? Lack of visible signage space?

Could be because rent is about $10,500 !!
Arcade failed for a couple reasons, drugs and hip hop music.
Joli Rouge was a circus, not ran well.
Celebrity grill – I think he retired.
