PHOTOS: Harris Teeter opens on Merrimon Avenue in Asheville; Trader Joe’s is next

Here’s a quick photo gallery capturing what the busy Merrimon Avenue corridor at the intersection of Chestnut looks like. I shot the photos on Tuesday. I didn’t make it out to the opening of Harris Teeter this morning (Wednesday), but as far as I can tell, everything went off without a hitch. The new traffic signal near the store is up and running. (I’m resting up for the Sept. 27 opening of Trader Joe’s.)
