Press release here:

Outside magazine’s Adventure Adviser blogger recently named NAVITAT CANOPY ADVENTURES one of the nation’s five best tours to go zip-lining in the wilderness.

Located on 240 acres of forestland just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, NAVITAT showcases the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains from a course of artfully designed sky bridges, rappels, tree-based platforms and 10 exhilarating zip lines.

“We couldn’t be happier that Outside magazine has recognized our commitment to giving our guests a truly unique perspective of their natural surroundings,” said Abby Burt, Branding & Marketing Leader at NAVITAT. “Our mountain home is a very special place, with dozens of native and rare plant and tree species, abundant wildlife, streams, and long-range views of the Black Mountains, the Craggy Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway and Pisgah National Forest.”

The Adventure Adviser blog is a part of Outside’s Ask the Experts blog series that appears on the magazine’s website, OutsideOnline.com.

Opened in spring 2010, NAVITAT specializes in high-adventure zip line canopy tours, with a heavy focus on educating guests about the natural environment, history and culture of the surrounding area. The company opened a second location in Southern California in summer 2011.

NAVITAT tours run daily through the end of November. Reservations are required. Daytime tour price is $89 per adult, and $79 per youth under age 18. Exclusive “Navitat at Night” tours are offered Saturday evenings at dusk. Nighttime tour price is $99 per person. Visit www.navitat.com or call (828) 626-3700 to book your tour.

In 2013, NAVITAT will launch the Mountaintop Adventure, a new tour at its Asheville location that will feature zip lines as long as 3,600 feet in length and at heights of 350 to 400 feet above the forest floor.
