Asheville space-rock band Silver Machine is ready to debut its new theremin-driven soundtrack to Night of the Living Dead at a screening of the movie in downtown Asheville this Thursday.

The band is calling this version of Romero’s classic the highest quality picture available.

One night only, 9:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Theatre.

From the FAT:

The original black-and-white cult classic from 1968, featuring an all-new soundtrack composed and performed by Asheville space-rock band Silver Machine. Theremins and Moog synthesizer sounds create an other-worldly, creepy atmosphere, while the picture quality has been cleaned up and digitally re-mastered for the new millennium.

Tickets are $5 and available at the Fine Arts Box Office.

The FAT is a cash-only venue. See you there!
