News obit: Brian Farmer, beloved Warren Haynes roadie

Brian Farmer, the long-time guitar tech for rocker and Asheville native Warren Haynes, has died. Haynes’ band, Gov’t Mule, announced Farmer’s passing:

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of longtime Gov’t Mule crew member Brian Farmer yesterday, Sunday, August 24 at his home near Nashville. We will have a more in-depth statement shortly. #ThankYouFarmer

Farmer died Sunday at his home near Nashville.

Farmer was a well-known character at the annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam, where Farmer essentially handled all aspects of prepping Haynes’ guitars, but also served as somewhat of a stage manager.
