Here’s the line-up, via Dave Russell, who works for RiverLink:

RiverLink’s RiverMUSIC lineup:

Friday June 29: From Brooklyn, NY, the 10-piece styling of Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, with special guests The Krektones and Mad Tea Party.
Friday July 13: Bluegrass on the river with Sanctum Sully and special guests Bobby Miller & The Virginia Daredevils
Friday August 3: An evening with The 42nd Street Jazz Band
Friday August 24: Sirius B. with special guests The Blood Gyspies
Friday September 14: purveyors of the funk Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band with special guests The Fritz.

The music will be held at the Sculpture and Performance Plaza, 117 Riverside, right across from Cotton Mill Studios. I think the plan is to have local food trucks on site, as well. The Citizen-Times notes that New Belgium Brewing, which is building a big new brewery in the RAD, is the event sponsor. The music is free, btw.

Who plays first this Friday (7/13) Sanctum Sully or bobby Miller and what times?

Julie, RiverMUSIC hasn’t really shared this info! But since Sanctum is listed first, I’m guessing they’ll play first. Music starts at 6 and the event ends at 10.

Didn’t The Mad Tea (Party) drop the Party from their name to avoid confusion with ye olde political movemente? Hope the show went great tonight, wish I could have been there!

J, don’t know times yet, and I don’t think there’s an official website up. I’ll look around and pass along more detail.
