dunkin_long_shoals_2013Here are two more projects coming to south Asheville, as if a new Publix and a new The Fresh Market weren’t enough:

CitiStop is planning to build a new station and Dunkin’ Donuts at the corner of Skyland Inn Drive along Long Shoals Road, right across from CVS, according to loyal reader Eric, who snapped the pic for me. I think this will be the fourth Dunkin’ location for CitiStop in Asheville.

-And the Asheville Citizen-Times reports that Mission Health just handed over $4.4 million for a little more than 8 acres of land off Long Shoals Road to build a new Mission My Care Plus practice. The deed allows for right-of-way on Long Shoals and Schenck Parkway, the road that leads into Biltmore Park.

Services will include a comprehensive care practice with a multidisciplinary team of health care providers, diagnostic testing, health maintenance and prevention and other services, according to a news release.

Park Ridge Hospital is already building its own center on Long Shoals Road nearby. From the Hendersonville Times-News:

Park Ridge Health executives, physicians and staffers grasped shovels bearing the facility’s logo and pushed them into the ground, marking the first step toward construction of the $10 million four-story, 25,000-square-foot building off Interstate 26 on Long Shoals Road in south Asheville across from the entrance to Biltmore Park.

You got all that?

Glad they are tearing down the abandoned gas station and building a new CitiStop. It was an eyesore.

Just got a card in the mail from Mission Health announcing a new care center in S Asheville. It says, “The care you need, with a zip code [28803] you’ll love”
