Fullerton_GeneticsMission Health is planning to build a new $7 million, 24,000-square-foot building at the collection of medical buildings on Hendersonville Road on Vanderbilt Park (next to former Biltmore School) to house its Fullerton Genetics Center. The center, which has a main location and a satellite location, is reportedly still busting at the seams. The new center would allow Fullerton Genetics to expand its work.

It’s just the latest move from Mission, which is steadily building on its health care monopoly in Western North Carolina.

More about Fullerton:

Fullerton Genetics Center offers the only genetic services in Western North Carolina. We provide services in clinical genetics, genetics laboratory, and education and outreach. Our main clinical site is in Asheville, but we also have satellite locations and work with Regional OB/GYN Service’s high risk OB clinic.
We evaluate and counsel pediatric, prenatal, and adult patients through referrals in both outpatient and inpatient settings. We also offer a genetics education program for health care professionals, patients, and the general public. These programs include:
Clinical rotations for residents and medical students
Lectures to many different audiences
Presentations at regional and national meetings
For more information call us at 828-213-0022.
