WHAT: Barnaroo 2015: Grassroots, family-friendly music festival perpetuating the support, growth and development of local and regional music. Asheville BARNAROO 2015 presented by Andrew Scotchie and Kick It Events is an outdoor festival featuring a tent-covered main stage to showcase this year’s lineup of local and regional heavyweights such as Les Amis (members of Toubab Krewe and Zansa), Lyric, Red Honey, Porch 40, Demon Waffle, Laura Blackley, Kick the Robot and more. In addition to the incredible music lineup, the festival will feature local and regional crafters, local eats and local brews. On Sunday the festival will close out with a feature wake-up jam and food from Farm 2 Fender. This is a family & youth friendly festival and all are encouraged to attend & camp!

WHEN: September 26-27 ~ Saturday 10 am until Sunday noon ~ Doors open 9 am ~

WHERE: FRANNY’S FARM, 22 Franny’s Farm Rd, Leicester NC 28748. Located 10 miles and just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. Leicester Hwy 10 miles, left on South Turkey Creek, proceed one mile and turn right onto event location. Look for signs along the way.

WHY: To showcase, promote and celebrate local and regional singer songwriters and bands in the rock & roll, hard rock and funk genres. To inspire youth musicians and raise money for Asheville Music School, a non-profit providing tuition for music lessons, performance classes & tutoring as well as musical instruments for children in need of financial assistance.

BENEFIT: In the spirit of youth music development, Asheville BARNAROO will return a percentage of proceeds and 100% of Silent Auction to Asheville Music School.

HISTORY: BARNAROO was founded by 16 year-old Andrew Scotchie in 2009 as a private, mini-festival and has continued to grow in size annually. In 2013, Asheville BARNAROO moved to a larger venue at Franny’s Farm, located 10 miles from Asheville.

WHAT’S NEW: The Eco-Event Center at Franny’s Farm has two cabins and camping available.
