Yeah, President Obama visited Asheville on Wednesday. You know who else? Billy Ray Cyrus, and yes, he was singing the Achy Breaky. Here’s the note from loyal reader Jessica on what was up:

Kiss Country Winter Jam 2013

Hey, Jason!

Just wanted to let you know about the 3rd Annual Winter Jam that 99.9 Kiss Country hosted last night at the Orange Peel. We raised over $28,000 for Mission Children’s Hospital with the help of our listeners who bought tickets to see Billy Ray Cyrus, Uncle Kracker, Love and Theft, Greg Bates, Craig Campbell and Maggie Rose play in a unique acoustic setting.

Photos & video can be found here.

Along with our annual Guitar Jam held in November (http://www.99kisscountry.com/pages/GuitarJam.html), and our Kiss Country Cares for Kids Radiothon (http://www.99kisscountry.com/pages/radiothon.html) coming up next weekend, we intend to raise well over $100,000 for Mission Children’s Hospital as we’ve done the past few years.

Awesome!
