This looks like a ton of fun. Here’s the press release:

Kid Hop Hooray is a monthly wintertime indoor dance party, presented by the Orange Peel & the Hop Ice Creamery

Every Kid Hop begins at 10:30 am and goes until 1:30 pm – you can drop in anytime; a live DJ performs all kinds of fun family tunes that kids and adults will enjoy, from “Shake it Off,” to Frozen’s “Let it Go,” to clean versions of all mom and dad’s favorite old school hip hop, from Arrested Development to De La Soul to Kris Kross.

For March 19th’s event we have a couple of very special guests! We will feature 2 special breaks for short breakdancing performances by the Underdog Crew, Asheville’s bboy and bgirl dance crew! AND we are super excited to announce Grammy-nominated, Asheville-grown kids’ hip hop act, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, will be making an appearance! 23 Skidoo will perform a lively 20 minute “mini show” at noon as a special treat for our audience. Skidoo has moved to California with his band to pursue his musical dreams, so we are very lucky indeed to have him stopping by the Peel! 23 Skidoo has eight #1 hits on SiriusXM, critics raving in reviews from TIME, USA Today, People and NPRʼs “All Things Considered,” and has appeared at at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and LegoLand.kid_hop_hooray_secret_agent_23_skidoo_asheville_2016

There will be FREE Glow accessories for the first 350 little dancers in the doors, a big open room to run, dance, and get your sillies out, rain or shine, and snacks for purchase including popcorn, pies from Asheville Pizza Co and of course, ice cream from the Hop Ice Creamery! Oh yeah, and the Orange Peel bar will be open for mom and dad’s refreshments (and/or kids’ juice boxes).

A padded area available for crawlers and smaller babies to play and explore.

The music will be especially chosen to appeal to kids from ages 2 to 10, but the whole family is more than welcome! 12 and under are only $4 (under 2 years old are free) and grown ups and older kids are $7.

Tickets available at www.theorangepeel.net or at the Orange Peel box office, in advance or at the doors.
