Job fair set for Tuesday, Wednesday at AB-Tech for Linamar plant

Linamar Corp.Linamar Corp. will hold a job fair from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Asheville-Buncombe Community College’s Enka campus.

Linamar is looking for a CMM programmer, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, maintenance techs and a machine operator, according to an advertisement in the Sunday edition of the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Linamar is a Skyland  manufacturer of internal engine and driveline parts headquartered in Canada. In 2011, the company announced it was opening a plant in Buncombe County, in the former Volvo plant. Last year, it announced that it was investing millions more, and hiring 250 more, people at the plant.
