Tickets are on sale Friday at noon.

Jim James is a very public supporter of Asheville/Black Mountain band Floating Action, one of Asheville’s best if we say so ourselves. It’ll be fun to see how that plays out as James comes to town this spring.

From a Jim James website announcement just this morning:

We’re excited to announce Jim’s upcoming North American tour dates in support of his debut solo album Regions Of Light And Sound Of God, available February 5th.

“hello friends! i have put together a special band of some of my oldest pals to help bring this album to life on the road! we are very excited about it and cant wait to bring it to light! see ya out on the open road!” – jim

General on sales for the tour begin this weekend while Roll Call members (My Morning Jacket fan club) have first access pre-sales this Wednesday at 12noon EST. $1 per ticket will benefit Cancer Research Hospital and Treatment Center, City Of Hope, for every show.
