Will be an awesome show, for sure. Here’s the announcement from the Orange Peel.

We are proud to announce that Jack White will be bringing his solo tour to Ashevilleon Saturday May 19th. The tour is in support of his first solo album, Blunderbuss, which is scheduled for release April 23rd & 24th across the US. The tour kicked off in March at one of our favorite Southern venue’s, Track29 in Chattanooga, TN, to rave reviews.

Tickets to the Orange Peel show go on sale this Friday, March 23rd, at 12pm EST. They will be available online at www.theorangepeel.net or www.etix.com – a direct link is here – or at the Orange Peel box office on Biltmore Avenue, beginning at 12 noon on Friday. The tickets will be $40 in advance, plus applicable fees.

There is a strict 4 tickets per person limit, and any attempts at exceeding the limit with multiple ticket purchases by a single customer will be subject to cancellation. As always, we strive to discourage ticket scalping in order to give as many fans as possible a fair chance at purchasing tickets at their original price.

Jack White recorded and released six studio albums with Meg White when the two comprised The White Stripes, as well as two records with his second band, The Raconteurs. White also made two albums with alt-rock super-group The Dead Weather in 2009 and 2010. His new album, Blunderbuss, and this tour are a first for White as a solo headlining artist. His self-directed video for “Love Interruption,” the first single from his upcoming debut album, can be viewed here. As on the single, the video features back-up vocalist Ruby Amanfu, clarinet/bass clarinet player Emily Bowland and Brooke Waggoner on wurlitzer electric piano.
