Screen shot 2013-05-02 at 10.17.54 AMThe 32 (degree) Ice Bar Lounge at 140-F Airport Road in Arden claims it is “Asheville’s coolest bar.” It touts ice caves and 25 beers on tap, as well as a rail with dry frost running the length of the bar. Is this a standalone bar? A hotel bar? Guess I’ll have to check it out.

More:

The ICE CAVES are open air freezers that keep our vodkas and specialty liquors at a bone chilling -5 to +5 degrees. A first at a nightclub, bar or restaurant in Asheville, you’ll enjoy velvety smooth Martinis, crisply refreshing cocktails and buttery soft liquor shots. Add in great Greek, Italian and Serbian food along with a fantastic nighttime atmosphere and you’ve got 32 ICE BAR LOUNGE.

Our unique FROST RAIL BAR adds another level of cold to your experience. A rail of dry frost running the entire length the bar keeps your cocktails, beers and shots icy cold and refreshing

It’s stand alone, but part of a strip mall. It’s next to Acropolis Pizza. I’ve visited it to check out the craft beer. Not a bad place!

Isn’t it in the strip mall with Octopus Garden and Acropolis?

It’s a standalone bar, although with a kitchen shared with Acropolis Pizza on Airport Road. Nice atmosphere, great staff, late hours. A cool place (pun intended).
