Hotter Than Haiti 10K road race in West Asheville Saturday

The course is mostly along the French Broad River and Hominy Creek, including an out and back on the Hominy Creek Greenway in West Asheville. Registration is $25,  and the race starts at 8 a.m.

From the event’s website:

The first annual Hotter Than Haiti 10K will be hosted by the Asheville Outdoor Center in West Asheville.  Run along the beautiful French Broad Greenway and Hominy Creek.  View the race route.   After the race, the whole family can have fun at the Asheville Outdoor Center.  There will be music and fun along the river!

This event supports Consider Haiti, a non-profit organization based in Asheville.  For more than 10 years Consider Haiti has promoted the health and welfare of children in and around Montrouis, Haiti, by providing medical care, sustainable nutrition programs, community based health programs and clean water.

Race Proceeds: All proceeds from The Hotter than Haiti 10K will benefit Consider Haiti (formerly known as Mission Manna).
