First in a four-month series of mid-week showcases of Fringe artists, the May Fringe Night at The Crow & Quill featured Jim Julien performing his shadow puppet play “Shadows of My Family.” Jim has performed this piece at the Nashville Sideshow Fringe Festival and the inaugural Shenandoah Fringe Festival last April. He is co-director of the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival and a frequent performer at Asheville Vaudeville. His play “The Caro Savanti Experience” was recently performed at The Magnetic Theatre. “Shadows of My Family” is a globe-trotting tale of political intrigue, forbidden love, South American dictators, Italian sports cars and Indiana hog farmers.

$5 suggested donation at the door. Join us as we celebrate all things Fringe.

The second Fringe Night in this series on June 22 will feature the opening of the Official Call for Artists for the 2017 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival. The 2017 Fringe will occur January 26-29, 2017. The fourth Fringe Night on August 24th will feature local dance improv badass phenoms, The Accidentals!
